Here's your chance to have your say. Go on leave your comments belowRoad Any more word on the road going through the course? What plans are in action? Posted by Derek Tims on 07 October 2009 Derek, At present this issue appears to be in abbeyance. The announcement, last year, by the Scottish Government, that the TLR had been dropped from its transport spending priorities for the next 20 years suggested that there would be insufficient funding to complete the project for the foreseeable future. Given the current climate of austerity in relation to public spending, I would think it unlikely that this decision will be overturned although, as I understand, there is an ongoing dialogue between the council and Hollyrood. Posted by Hamish Spence on 08 October 2009 computer When putting in our scores in the computer is their anyway we can just type in our membership number so our name comes straight up to save going through all our names.I played moray old in a open and they had that system? Posted by kevin p on 11 July 2009 I will look into it Kevin. Steve barron Posted by Steve Barron on 15 July 2009 3rd of July Just wondering if anything has been arranged for afterwards for the 3rd of July scramble like last year? The website suggested a bbq and maybe a quiz night and raffle was on the cards, doesn't seem to be anything being advertised within the club. With the entry sheet filling up nicely it could be an opertunity missed by the club to bring in that bit extra over the bar. Posted by on 19 June 2009 standard scratch I was wondering if anyone at the club can tell me why the standard scratch is always 68? This seems to be the case if the weather is good or if it is raining and windy. Personaly i think if a player posts a good score in bad conditions when others are finding it difficult it should be rewarded. I have played in opens at many other courses and the standard scratch has always reflected the scoring and conditions. Posted by on 09 June 2009 I have seen the CSS as high as 71 this year, pretty sure it will always be a fair indication of the conditions and scores, weather has been pretty good as of late so naturally there have been a lot of people playing under thier handicap. Posted by on 19 June 2009 Eriskay GC Just a belated message to thank Willie Rusk and the rest of his team for coming up to Orkney for the match last week. I think it's fair to say a great time was had by all. I hope you all got home alright, although the word on the street is that the Errol Flynn of Eriskay missed his lift to the ferry on Saturday morning. He must've been having an 'AWESOME' time!! I hope I'm off for the return next season. Oh, by the way... a message from the Orkney Hotel says your meal is ready!! :o) Posted by Bruce Moar on 08 June 2009 greenkeepers on 31 May 2009 Ladies Open on 22 May 2009 No Title on 20 May 2009 Bunkers on 15 May 2009 Order of Merit at Torvean? on 07 March 2009 No Title on 19 February 2009 Lapsed Members 2009 on 14 February 2009 fees on 11 January 2009 Sair Heid raffle on 06 January 2009 bunkers on 01 January 2009 |
